Volume 1 of 50 Challenging Sudoku Variations contains brainteasing puzzles for Beginners, Advanced players and Professionals.
Standard Dokus contain one or more extra groups of coherent cells, equal to the grid size of the puzzle, that also have to contain the different digits or letters (Word Dokus) exactly once.
Special Dokus or Educational Dokus contain one or more extra groups of coherent cells in which groups the number of cells can deviate from the grid size. These groups possess special properties, requiring other types of logic to find the unique solution of the Doku, however in combination with the solving logic of a standard Sudoku.
As an indication for the difficulty level at most of the 9 by 9 Dokus the number of different solutions without the extra groups of coherent cells with special properties is given.
